Job Summary

As a QA Engineer at RacerX.AI, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our website optimization tools and services. You will collaborate closely with our development, DevOps, and data science teams to create comprehensive testing strategies and verify that all features function smoothly across multiple browsers and platforms. Your focus will be on ensuring our solutions deliver fast loading times, excellent user experiences, and stability under high traffic.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of web applications and optimization tools.
• Perform manual testing of features across different browsers, devices, and screen resolutions to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, performance, and regression testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Work closely with the development and product teams to identify, report, and track bugs and performance issues.
• Conduct load testing and performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure optimal website performance.
• Ensure that all code and optimizations adhere to web performance best practices and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) to ensure continuous testing and quality validation in the CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and analyze test results, generating reports that provide actionable insights for improving product quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the QA process.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the overall development process and product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on web applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, load, and performance testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Experience with cross-browser testing and mobile responsiveness testing.
• Knowledge of web performance metrics (e.g., page load time, TTFB, FCP, LCP) and tools like Google Lighthouse or WebPageTest.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying and documenting bugs and performance issues.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or similar languages for writing automated test scripts.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic).
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they influence web performance.
• Familiarity with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms for testing web performance and features.
• Experience with mobile testing and mobile performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and testing for compliance with WCAG.
